I've compiled svn r527555, but it doesn't work for me. It makes fine, but crashes when I run it. I configured with

./configure --without-arts  --enable-debug=full

But I'm not getting a backtrace from the crash. Also, there's no message in the konsole, apart from "ERROR: Communication problem with ktorrent, it probably crashed."

What can I do, and what's the proper way to report such errors?

Of course I'll update the source and try again later.

I updated to 535358 and this one works for me.

There's a problem with the install path. Without a --prefix= to the configure, Ktorrent gets installed to I-don't-know-where. With --prefix=/usr/bin it gets installed to /usr/bin/bin.

Don't use prefix /usr/bin that would cause troubles as you experienced

Use your KDEHOME prefix like --prefix=/usr/share (ubuntu, slackware...) or --prefix=/opt/kde3 (SuSE...).

By default, it assumes you KDE is installed in /usr/share and installes ktorrent there.
