Hi, i installed ktorrent 2.0 beta1 from gentoo portage, upgrading from ktorrent 1.2. And I got this error.

ktorrent: symbol lookup error: ktorrent: undefined symbol: _ZN2bt6Choker16num_upload_slotsE

Let me know if I can do something to solve or help bug trace.

also this error when I run as non-root user.

ERROR: Communication problem with ktorrent, it probably crashed.

Yes, I removed the old binary and libs from the KDE directory and this solved the problem.

It seems you either have an old version of libktorrent still lying around on your system or an old version of the ktorrent binary. Either way the KT binary and libktorrent do not match.

I suggest you unemerge KT and then emerge it again.
