I don't mean to be rude, but I really don't understand the reasoning behind those new download and upload tabs. Now it's impossible to see both leechings and seedings at the same time. IMHO that's a major usability regression in KTorrent, so much that I downgraded back to 1.2 because it annoys me too much.

Could you at least add an option to bring classic non-tabbed view back? I'm not interested in upgrading KTorrent until that is fixed.

Several people have requested the separation of these things. Making it optional will be a pain

How about separating them in a way in which we can still see BOTH of them at the same time? I'm thinking horizontal splitted view, with a movable seperator. That would be even better.

Ohh, how about seeing if ktorrent can use KDev or Koffice's IDEAL mode? then you can arrange your screen as you see fit, all tabs, splitters and such are at the users whim

Don't know, we haven't really considered a IDEA style UI.

When going from 1.2 to 2.0 i was positively surprised that the Upload went to its own tab. So I guess it is a matter of taste.

Is the fact that the Uploads tab doesn't obey the settings in Info Widget (Show peers/chunks/trackers) intentional?

You mean disabling the tree options for the info widget in KTorrent settings i suppose?
I have no idea (just found out myself), but i do like that the listing on something and all that GUI stuff like the height is separate in these panels.

Looks like you found a bug. If you change the settings, then unload and reload the infowidget plugin, it will come back with only the proper tabs shown, but it certainly doesn't seem to remove them when you change the options when you've got an upload selected.

I'll try reproducing this and let you know how it went.

Ok, I completely forgot about this and thanks to stoeptegel for reminding me.

It should be fixed now in SVN.
