Oh, forgot to tell, when I start KTorrent from the command line it spews out these messages (about 10-20 per sec):

Code: Select all
QApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver
QApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver
QApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver

Rob, do you have DHT enabled ?

I had some crashes at exit when DHT was running, I haven't had a chance yet to look at them.

Also can you verify that you have a clean install, and no plugins or libraries lying around from older versions ?

Yes, I have DHT enabled. I turned it off and got no crash so it definately seems to have something to do with DHT.

I've had 1.2, 2.0beta1 and now 2.0dev (SVN from today). I've only installed the new versions over the old versions but I have made sure KTorrent wasn't running.

Is there a list of folder/files somewhere in the project or do I have to study the 'make install' part of the makefile to be able to tell what folders are involved?

It all depends where your distro has installed things. That can be different thenthe default prefix.

I suggest you do a make uninstall and then use your distros package manager to uninstall 1.2.

Then you do a make install again.

Weird, it crashes when the ChunkManager gets rid of all Chunk objects. Haven't seen that before.

The problem with this thing is that if I can't reproduce it, it is hard to fix.
