Hello,
When kTorrent is up my internet even when I am using 10kbs up/10kbs down bandwidth. How can I setup kTorrent so that my internet doesn't freeze when kTorrent is up? I would like to download and surf the net at the same time. Thanks -Caesar |

Check what setting you've chosen for 'max connections per download'. Most people set this setting way too high, 25 should normally be more then enough.
If you have a stable bandwidth you could check the upload and downloadspeed by transferring data to and from your ISP homepage. Generally speaking you can take these measurements as 85% upload and 90% download in your client. If above doesn't work, be sure that protocol encryption is enabled. If it is and you're still having problems, you might have a ISP that is throttling your whole internet connection. Basicly you're doomed if this happen to be reality. |

How would I know what speed data is being transferred via me and the ISP home page? Additionally how would I upload data to my ISP homepage?
I do not see an option for protocol encryption in my ktorrent preferences. With 25 connections per torrent, how many torrents should be allowed to run if I have a cable connection? Thanks |
