Idea about kt svn

Sat Jun 24, 2006 3:39 pm
I think it will be a good idea to put the kt-svn source in Download page.This will make easier downloading of svn version to many people.Do you agree with me?

I had a similar idea. I also wanted to put weekly SVN packages for Kubuntu Dapper x86, but I don't know if there are any people interested (all of you seem to download&compile by yourself)

For me personally, svn is enough.(better tracking ability too)
But i can imagine that it's usefull for people who don't feel comfortable with subversion.

I think there is no need distro packages only a svn source will be enought.
@stoeptegel
i also haven't problems with svn but i'm tired every time when i use it .. it will be better to download only a .tar.gz file from official site.I'm sure there is more people who can't use the subversion and with this will come more testers.

Maybe I can setup a cron job to do this on my PC.
It's around 3 svn commands to checkout the code, then we can ftp it in the downloads directory of the site

OK, I have a working script, as soon as the KDE svn repository is back OK, I will setup a cron job to do this on a weakly basis, every saturday or so.

Note, this is without translastions, just the code.
