The message subject tells it all. KTorrent dies when the port is already in use. I edited the "port" entry in ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc to use a different port.

Code: Select all
QServerSocket: failed to bind or listen to the socket
DCOP aborting (delayed) call from 'anonymous-5835' to 'ktorrent'
ERROR: Communication problem with ktorrent, it probably crashed.
KCrash: Application 'ktorrent' crashing...

I think it would be nicer if KTorrent exited with a Port in use error. Other than that, I have no complaints against KTorrent. Thanks!

It does, normally it should take the next port and show an error pop-up, I haven't seen any crash related to this, and this happens pretty often with me. So it's probably allready fixed.

Do you have a backtrace ?
