SVN compile error [suse 10.1]

Sun Jul 02, 2006 9:27 am
When I try to compile the code I get an error at the ./configure part:
Code: Select all
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

Is there a .rpm that i can download?

Your system is missing some packages.
KTorrent needs this to be able to compile KTorrent:

- X11 headers
- Qt headers
- KDE headers
- autoconf/automake

In suse these packages probably have different names then in kubuntu, so you have to look into that.

And you probably need to specify --prefix=/opt/kde3 as this is where Suse put it's KDE stuff.

Edit:
And then it may fail anyway, since Suse has/had(I'm not sure if they have updated it or not) wrongly compiled gmp library in 10.1.

Anyway, there are Suse rpms of the beta1 at the ktorrent homepage and in the guru rpm mirror.

If i have time today or tomorow, I may do a snapshot rpm of current svn. You can have a copy if you are interested.

Good question indeed, I don't have any reailble webspace at the moment. Not sure if it works but try: http:/85.164.53.187/:8001

The files are
http://85.164.53.187/:8001/ktorrent-2.0 ... 5.i586.rpm
http://85.164.53.187:8001/ktorrent-debu ... 5.i586.rpm

I have no problems, I am running last ktorrent-30-07-06 compiled with --enable-final, has this option any performance advantages? thanks

No, it just compiles faster, it throws all cpp files in one big cpp file, this compiles faster then compiling each file individually.
