problem with downloading last chunk

Tue Jul 11, 2006 8:06 pm
I've a problem with one file downloading the last chunk. The file is completely available from more than 1 seeders. When I examine the chunks tab it shows under progression 353/64, so I think this download will never ends. It is chunk 2289 of 4464. I stopped/started the torrent several times and that takes a lot more time than normally doing that and it seems that KTorrent is "freezing" but after about 10 seconds it continues. I think this is very strange. Restarting Ktorrent doesn't help either.

Does this happen with the latest SVN version? What version are you running actually?

I'm using 2.0 beta 1 with SUSE 10.0, had no problems until now. It's is multifile torrent.
I've enabled the logview plugin now. When I start the torrent I get the following:
packet_length to large 100663306
6 0 0 10

A solution for this problem could be: make it possible to delete a corrupted chunk (right-click on the chunk shows a popupmenu with a delete option). KT has total control over the chunks, so why not just delete a chunk when things are going wrong?
This is just a workaround until this bug definitely has been fixed.
A KT-lover.

if (chunk_downloaded > chunk_total) {
chunk_downloaded = 0
restart_chunk_download()
}

This problem is mostly solved except for the other thread.

You can run the data integrity check to check all chunks, chunks which are corrupt are reset.

I want to do that, but the torrent-file doesn't exist anymore. I decided to delete the download.
