Aparently I was lieing. More people connected and I started getting peaks in the 20-40K range again. After these torrents are done I'll grab the svn and see if it still exists.

As promised, tested with SVN copy(564652) and I still see this. Max upload speed set to 10 and bursting to 20-40K.

I will take a look at it tomorrow.

It seems it isn't fixed. I've decided to try the latest ktorrent svn again, just because azureus is such a cpu hog, and I have some other cpu intensive things Id like to be done before the universe ends..

I've started 100% fresh this time, all settings, files, and torrents from my old ktorrent setup have been rm -fr'ed. I have 3 total torrents going, each one about 7.5GB in total size (21-22 350MB sized files).

And my upload is normally limited to 10 or 20KB/s, I've even tried 1KB/s, but it seems to be ignoring it totally. ktorrent's upload label shows upwards of 62KB/s (which is my MAX upload).

It didn't start out ignoring it. It only started part way through. Though a restart of ktorrent doesn't help for long, it usually starts ok, for a few minutes, but quickly starts using up all of my upload.

Heres the last 30 items in my ktorrent log:

I think this is leftover bytes accumulating in the SocketMonitor. I have made a fix, can you try the latest from svn ?

Hasn't really helped. I'll continue running it to see if it starts to stabalize around 40KB/s as it did before. So far its varying wildly between ~10 and 60.

well wildly is the wrong word, as it stays just long enough on one speed to make it seem like it isn't just a burp or hickup.

Did it change something download limit area too? I now have 32-58% cpu when it tries to limit on 1100 while downloading at max. When i lower the dowload limit to let say 300K, the cpu usage goes down somewhat too.

I had the same problem with 2.0 final. The only way I could limit the upload was to use the speed schedualler. The settings in the download prefs were totally ignored.

I also had this problem with 2.0. I was also experiencing high CPU usage and found this forum entry:

http://ktorrent.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... load+speed

When I followed its advice to increase the CPU update interval the CPU performance improved *and* the upload limit was now being obeyed.

I tried bumping the GUI update interval down to 2 seconds, and it didn't help a bit.

As for the number of torrents, 3 right now. All batch torrents of 7GB+.

I used to have a huge list of torrents, but I imported them into Azureus a week or so ago, and a good lot of them actually finished, whereas they were taking for ever in ktorrent :(

A lot(15+) in seeding but only a few torrents with a few leechers, in leeching only one torrent active(the fast one), the rest (4) torrents stopped.
