Hi,

I noticed a small problem in ktorrent I think.

If I import a torrent with :
Code: Select all
dir/
    somefile1-4.sfv
    somefile1.mkv
    somefile2.mkv
    somefile3.mkv
    somefile4.mkv

With all the mkv in one dir and no sfv, then ktorrent ask me to dl that file or not, I choose to not...

But there is a problem, the two first mkv are marked as incomplete (99.43% each) and a dl of some part is done...

The problem is that I did that with two torrent with two series of files (with missing sfv in each one) and I get the same percent the two times, so there is a bug (I don't think it's possible to have two missing exactly part on two first mkv of each torrent).

May you plz check if there is nothing wrong somewhere ?

A torrent is divided in chunks, and chunks most of the time do not begin and end at file boundaries. So a chunk can lie in 2 or more files.

When we import we try to load each chunk, but because of your missing file, the chunk cannot be fully loaded, so we cannot determine if the contents of the chunk is correct, so we are forced to download it again.

may you add then an explain of that, for example put the state as :
partial chunk: re-dl to check validity

It whould avoid to don't understand why finished files are marked as partialy dl...

It's easier to explain it to the occasional person who asks it on the forums. Adding this state is rather annoying, seeing that it is hard to distinguish between downloading and this special state.
