2.0.2 (from Suse 10.1 rpm) crashes

Thu Aug 31, 2006 12:51 pm
Hi,

I upgraded to 2.0.2 today by downloading the Suse 10.1 rpm from this site. I noticed that it crashes occasionally.

When I run it with --debug, here's the message:

ktorrent: symbol lookup error: /opt/kde3/lib/libktorrent.so.0: undefined symbol: _ZNK8KNetwork10KIpAddress12hostIPv4AddrEb

So it seems that KNetwork::KIpAddress::hostIPv4Addr(bool) const has some problems?

That function of KIpAddress is not used by KTorrent code. So it is probably used somewhere in a KDE library. It's strange that this only happens when you run with --debug.

The best way to solve this, is to compile the code yourself, my guess is that the package was compiled with a later version of KDE then the one you have.
