[svn 581932] Undefined symbol.

Thu Sep 07, 2006 11:56 pm
Code: Select all
moose@natasha ~/build/ktorrent $ ktorrent
Qt: Warning: QObject::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
ktorrent: symbol lookup error: ktorrent: undefined symbol: _ZN2kt12GUIInterface19notifyViewListenersEPNS_16TorrentInterfaceE
ERROR: Communication problem with ktorrent, it probably crashed.

built using:
Code: Select all
$ svn up
$ make clean && make -f Makefile.cvs && ./configure --enable-geoip --prefix=/usr  --enable-new-ldflags --enable-debug=full --enable-pch && make && sudo make install

I'm trying the same thing without the pch option, see if it makes a difference. I'm really looking forward to seeing the new IDEAl gui :D and the rssfeed plugin.

I have never compiled it with precompiled header support, so there is a good chance that's the problem.

I disabled, and tried again, same error. I also get the same error from the svn ebuild.

Do you still have old versions of KT lying around ? Maybe when you startup an old libktorrent is used. Allthough GUIInterface::notifyViewListeners has been part of the code base for a long time.

Thats what I thought, so I went and did a "emerge -C korrent-svn" and a "make clean" in my local ktorrent copy.

But it seems neither were enough, I _just_ found two coppies of the libs, one in /usr, and one in /usr/kde/3.5. Deleted the ones in /usr/kde/3.5, and all is fine.

Though that "Qt: Warning: QObject::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter" warning is still there.

OK, that is good to here.
