I use ktorrent on my server. Is there a way to see what is happening there from my laptop?
I know mldonkey can do that. But I like ktorrent more because I only use bittorrent and do not want edonkey and all that running.

You can disable the other stuff in mldonkey.

Have you tried the ktshell script with ssh?

Okay, maybe I switch to mldonkey when all my downloads are finished.
I do not understand what this script is good for. As I see it displays the differences between 2 files. Does ktorrent write its status into a file which I could monitor?

Another question has to be: Will ktorrent maybe get a web gui like mldonkey in the future?

Go to that page, click "download", save the file somewhere as ktshell, run "chmod +x ktshell", then ./ktshell and voila.

Okay, I downloaded the script on my server. And connected to it from my desktop system. When I run it it connects to the dcop server and I get a menu displayed. But when I select display downloads it says there are no files in this format or something like that.

What version are you running ?

Read in the other thread that it only works with the new version.
