In the files tab, I clicked the checkbox on a folder by mistake instead of the + to expand and ktorrent deleted all the files in that folder (all 4GB) not happy

actually files should not be deleted anyway - so that already dl'ed chunks of them could be uploaded.
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134597 but it seems that ktorrent is very comfortable client for leechers |

We added this because if you only want to download 500 MB of a 2 GB torrent you would only use 500 MB of diskspace. If you don't mind the disk usage, why do you need to deselect them ? |

Because I don't want to download them now? I might want to later, say, after previous episodes finish? No reason to throw out pieces I might already have. Situation I've found myself in: 1: download a lot of stuff from a torrent with many episodes. 2: decide I want to get episode 1 first 3: deselect others so I download episode 1 to completion first (but knowing I'll want to finish the others later) 4: whoops! all the pieces I had of the other eps (which I will want to finish later) are deleted! 5: ? 6: profit! Ktorrent seems way to eager to delete things. At any rate, delete and stop downloading (for now at least should be separate actions. |

Isn't the "download first/download last" feature in the infowidget plugin for this? Just right click the file name.
Thank you KTorrent developers!
