64bit compiles on SUSE :-(((

Sat Nov 11, 2006 10:38 am
Dear ktorrent webmaster, please add on
http://ktorrent.org/index.php?page=downloads

below
"How to compile"

a line like:

SUSE Users with 64-bit processor like AMD64, should try a configure option
Code: Select all
--enable-libsuffix=64

so configure finds the KDE 64-bit libraries in their non-standard /lib64 - dir.

To compile, your system needs all QT, KDE and GMP -devel packages installed with YAST before running ./configure. To find out, type

Code: Select all
> rpm -qa|grep kde.*-devel && rpm -qa|grep qt.*-devel && rpm -qa|grep gmp.*-devel

in your console. You should get a list like

Code: Select all
kdemultimedia3-devel-3.5.5-3.3
kdelibs3-devel-3.5.5-19.1
kdebase3-devel-3.5.5-17.1
kdelibs3-devel-doc-3.5.5-1.3
kdesdk3-devel-3.5.5-3.4
kdeutils3-devel-3.5.5-3.4
kdepim3-devel-3.5.5-5.1
kdegraphics3-devel-3.5.5-3.4
qt3-devel-3.3.6-185.1
dbus-1-qt3-devel-0.60-30
qt3-devel-doc-3.3.6-1.15
qt3-devel-tools-3.3.6-1.14
gmp-devel-4.1.4-18

If the list is not complete or even empty, fire up YAST and install all neded -devel packages. Just search in YAST for e.g. gmp and click on gmp and gmp-devel to select it for a YAST install. Then try again ./configure etc.

Had to find it the hard way. :-(
