is there an apt-get for ktorrent
also if i update ktorrent what will happen to my torrents will i have to restart.

It's up to the guys behind the distribution you run to build and maintain the debian packages, the KTorrent devs only deliver the source. But i guess all distro's will have version 2.0.3 in repository by now, so yeah, apt-get is probably supported for you.
I don't think there willl be problems with upgrading between 2.0.3 and 2.1beta, but if there will be any it's a matter of removing and importing the torrent and you should be set. If it will turn out you need to that, you'll only loose the (local) stats and maybe a few chunks if the torrent was still downloading. So not a problem. |
