UPNP - close ports when exiting?

Sat Dec 02, 2006 6:09 pm
Hello,

Thank you very much for ktorrent, it is a great client. I am especially pleased with the upnp plug-in, although I have one request. Could the upnp plug-in close the ports it opened when ktorrent exits? Even better would be having the ports closed when there are no active uploads/downloads, but I am guessing that closing on exit would be a little simpler to implement.

I know that there is no real risk leaving the ports open when nothing is listening, but I like a tidy firewall.

I am running 2.1beta1 on Kubuntu Edgy, thanks to John Dong's .deb's.

Thanks again,

Mike

The requests are probably not getting through on time, I will take a look at it.

Currently, the ports are only forwarded as needed, so if you disable DHT, the forwarding will be undone.

OK, ports should now be properly unforwarded, but obviously KT will not wait forever if your router is not responding.
