I don't know if it's my configuration error but in 2.1 SVN, the LogViewer always reports chunks being completed regardless of any logviewer settings (I have rich text view enabled and everything else set to None).

We've made some changes to LogViewer recently (memory leak) and I think I've seen this problem too, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll check it out.

Nah... Everything's fine with LogViewer, it's just that we didn't classify all log messages so apparently some of them are still displaying "by default". I've changed couple more of them just now.

"Chunk completed" message is General->Notice so if you choose higher level than 'notice' ('important' or 'none') you won't be seeing this message anymore.
