I have been downloading a torrent for weeks because it is so big and also has a slow uploader. This file is made of many subdirectories each with 4 500mb files. Because they are sequencal I have been downloading the first ones first by setting it to download first. You must also click the little plus thing to open the inside directories. RIGHT NEXT TO THIS is the little check mark to say if you want to down-load the file or subdirectory or not.
What happened is that I got drunk and open the subdir to see if it was finished with the download of that subdirectory. IT WAS!! after a month of waiting at last it was done!! So I clicked the little box to shut that subdirectory BUT I, in my drunk state, missed the little plus and minus box and click the stupid check mark instead!!!!! Then I reclicked it seeing that it was the dumb thing to click. So after all this drunk joy I now have no files downloaded because this box is so close to the other box. So what needs fixing is that this box that can kill your whole subdirectory should have a pop up that asks you if you really want to delete 2 gigs of download or not!! Hope this makes sense as I am still a little drunk and very sad and mad. Douglas |

Good you bring this up, i think this is exactly what KTorrent needs; more users reporting issues.
This bugs however, is not a bug anymore in the new 2.1beta1 version. From this version KTorrent reverts the file from 100% completed to inside file border, instead of removing the file (it will still indicate 100%, but AFAIK the boundries are not there to seed anymore). So if you would deselect the file or folder and then reselect it, nothing would have changed. |
