1. The RSS feed plugin builds and installs perfectly, but ktorrent doesn't even attempt to load it. Nothing relevant shows up in stdout or in the log plugin.

2. The IDEAL ui seems to forget its last layout. If the IDEAL api has the same sort of api that the Qt4 MainWindow has for its dock windows, theres a set of save and restore functions that will take care of saving and restoring all of the docked windows's layouts.

3. I _think_ the mainwindow also forgets how it was last laid out. Half the time it seems to start out respecting the previous position and size, but then gets shrunk after its done loading everything.

I can still load it, does it show up in the list of plugins in the settings dialog ?

That's something I still need to do.

I know, when it is maximized, the size will not be remembered properly, the position seems to be forgotten completely. This appears to be a couple of bugs in the KMdi code.

No. But the log plugin seems to still know about it (are the plugins hard coded into the log plugin?)

Which is odd, it starts out seeming to remember the proper size, but a half a second later it gets resized.

They are hardcoded at the moment. Can you look for the file :

ktrssfeedplugin.so

It looks like the plugin was not installed.

Yeah, I have been trying to prevent that behavior, but not with much success.

As I said, It is installed, I checked the "make" output throughly, and it happens to exist in /usr/lib/kde3/

And what about :

ktrssfeedplugin.desktop

If the desktop file is not installed, or it is screwed up, the plugin will not be found.

Do you normally have to restart ktorrent after running kbuildsyscoca? Seems the rssfeed plugin mysteriously appeared after running it, without having to restart.

Normally I would expect you need to do a restart.
