Hi!

First, I would like to thank all people who help developping KTorrent. I've switched from Azureus to KTorrent a while ago, and I'm really satisfied.
I just came to build KTorrent 2.1beta1 and indeed, there were interesting improvements.
To me, one of the most important improvers is the web interface plugin, which I missed.

But, as nothing is perfect, I have some feature requests regarding this plugin :
  • I would appreciate a "logout" link (or a button, or whatever)
  • internal web server could support SSL

Well, I know, SSL support is not that simple because of certificates, and all that stuff... But indeed it would be a great security improvement ! Even if this is not critical to me... well, I'm kind of paranoid in fact :)
Anyway, I'm not saying SSL should be forcefully activated. An option (checkbox) would be fine (requesting the certificate files in text boxes, for example)

I'm open to reviews.

PS: English is not my native language, so excuse my mistakes...

Is already in the svn version with a new interface.

internal web server could support SSL

Is now yet implemented.
But you could use and ssh tunnel.

CLIENT
ssh -N -L localport:127.0.0.1:remoteport host_server -f

remoteport = webinterface port on server

SERVER
start ssh server

Then connect with you favorite browser to 127.0.0.1:localport

Thank you.

Looks like I'm good for compiling the latest SVN revision, then ;)
Because I'll most likely need SSL when I want to connect from a Windows(R) client, where it would'nt be so easy to create a tunnel (I could log on my PC using PuTTY, then create a remote tunnel and connect there from the client. But well, it's WAY simpler with SSL :) )

Thanks again !

EDIT: Sorry, next time I'll check SVN repository BEFORE submitting a feature request...
