[feature request] web interface

Mon Jan 08, 2007 12:41 am
Hi,

It would be nice if PHP include_path could contain the directory that the interface is stored in. Right now it seems that if I want to include any files, I need to hardcode the absolute path.

Also, $_GET variable, or any way of passing information would be really useful.

(edit: shortened subject)

Is available $_REQUEST variable. It is used in the mobile interface.

That worked :)

I have a couple of more requests:
* A way to store data.
I tried cookies without success.
A way of letting me store data (preferences) in a file would be the best solution for me though. Amarok solves this by executing the scripts from a directory they can store data in, a comfortable solution.
* Use php functions instead of urls to perform actions, so I can do it with javascript instead of reloading interface.php

A small problem I have, is that I keep getting signed out when I reload interface.php. Is this a known problem, or just me?

This is due to modification of cookie that contains SESSID.

If exists you could use php bindings for DCOP

It still happens, even though I've removed all code that modifies cookies.

Isn't DCOP rather problematic? It doesn't seem tempting seeing that people had problems with user/sessions and connecting to dcop server with tkshell.

It works well like it is now with variables in url, so there is no need to add these as php functions. More a suggestion, rather than a request :)
