Until someone who uses 2.0.3 in OSX will tell me more about it, another question: 47 MB to download, downloaded 47 and 91 percent… It's wierd… At 100%, i downloaded around 55-60 MB.

Duplicate chunks can happen, though in the 2.1 branch we no longer count these chunks. |

Thank you. I guess that is happening. So, i will wait for 2.1 modified for X11.

Hi,
I managed to get KTorrent 2.0.3 built under OS X 10.4 using Fink, works very well. Take a look at http://niagara.sourceforge.net/images/ktmac.jpg |

Please, tell me, you did'n get download exceded? Example: downloading a torrent arround 4.3Gb, i have downloaded 4.3Gb and i am at 91% at that. When I complete the torrent the size of downloading is 5.1-5.2Gb. It happens at every torrent. I hope version 2.1 final can be installed on OSX, Probably modified bu Fink, in that one, Ivan tells that, will be no longer those problems. Can't wait!

When download completes succesfully, you will check the tracker to see how you downloaded…

When you download torrents you often have duplicate chunks, and data that doesn't checksum properly, which increases the amount of data you download. This occurs with a number of clients and is to some extent unavoidable.
It shouldnt affect the integrity of the files on disk. |

Download and extract the source, then (assuming fink is in /sw)
export CFLAGS="-L/sw/lib -I/sw/include" export CPPFLAGS="-L/sw/lib -I/sw/include" export LDFLAGS="-L/sw/lib" ./configure --prefix=/sw make sudo make install I haven't tried this myself, but you're just pointing your compiler at the fink libraries and then running the build as normal, so I'd imagine this should work fine if you have 2.0.3 running with Fink. |

At least it's running My iBook is away getting its 3rd logic board replacement, apparently I nearly qualify for a new replacement under AppleCare, fingers crossed!
(Hence the Hackintosh...) The fact that its compiling at all means it should have found the libraries and all should be well. |
