First off. great job. I absolutely like ktorrent.

I downloaded version 2.1rc1 last night and installed it.
Nice new interface and it looks less obtrusive somehow
and generally faster.

One thing I miss though is the current downloads / uploads
indicator on the download / upload tabs before (version 2.01)
I concurrently download multiple torrents and it was easier to know if
one of the torrents has finished downloading just by a quick glance on the
download tab. Would you mind putting it back (or something similar)?

[feature request]
I was wondering if you could put say a log file that shows when a torrent has finished downloading so I know immediately which new torrent is the newest one. I always check data integrity once I finish downloading and now that Im seeding more than 30 torrents, its becoming a headache trying to locate which torrent needs to be scanned for integrity.

[question]
i cant seem to find information on the Queue Manager so Ill just ask here.
whats the difference between Queued Downloads and User Downloads?
does one faster has more priority than the other?

Thanks again for a good software.

We have some plans for changing this for the next version. I'll make sure we don't forget to place this info too.

Well, you have 'download completed' message in KT log I guess it's not that hard to add a message like "Download TORRENT_NAME has been completed" or something like that...

[question]

QueueManager is used just to make difference in starting/stopping priority for torrents.

User controlled torrent does not obey max_downloads/uploads limits and you will have to manually start/stop it.

QM controlled torrents will be started/stopped automatically based on your max downloads/uploads limits.

There is NO speed or any other performance priority for this two groups. I'm planning to rewrite this code for KDE4 version so we're probably not going to change many things here before that.

OK Ill look for the log file. didnt know it existed. Im kinda new to the entire linux environment =)

on the same subject i just thought of another
[feature request]
below the new "groups" tab (where Ktorrent houses the "All downloads sections") how about another tab for the log or any other outputs?
for one thing, the entire left-hand-side group tab wouldnt seem like such wasted space.

Something like Konqueror's side panel where they have "Amarok, Bookmark, History tabs ... " it would make it a lot easier to access the log files, so I can see the most recent finished download - yeah Im just too lazy to look through the log file myself =D

After playing around with Ktorrent more I just realized my feature request of adding another tab was already there.

I loaded the Logviewer Plugin and it placed a small icon on the lower part of the program near the status bar... I just realized I can "make it into a tab" by dragging it below the group tab.

Now if i can only find which of its settings would give me the info i need.
[The most recent downloaded torrent] Ill just post this on the Help forum.
