hey guys i was really fascinated by ktorrent.its low cpu usage etc.....
but in 2.1 stable release it does not seed.......
it uploads while downloading at full speeds but later it stops seeding it has large no of peers.........
still spd restriction for individual torrents is not being implemented.......
i dwnld frm a no of sites which hv ratio restrictions.it does not proper statistics to these sites.
seeding stats e worst affected........
is dis sum kind of a bug in new version?

jdm, could you rewrite that so its readable? ;)

But I have to agree with one point, KTorrent doesn't seem to be sending stats data to one of the trackers I'm using (tvtorrents.com) which has a very strict ratio policy, and very little chance to actually start seeding something since everything is always seeded well.. So loosing the little bit of uploads I do get in, is really bad.

I'm not sure, All I know is that tvtorrents isn't getting updated with upload/download stats.

I do run kt with --debug, and ouptuting to a log file just incase, but the last one is like 50MB? Just how much of it do you want?

All of it :-)

There is lots of repeated stuff in the log files, so you can probably gain much by compressing it with gzip or zip.

Well here it is, http://www.strangesoft.net/ktorrent.log.bz2 1.6MB, love that Bz2 compression. Was over 3 with plain gzip -9.

I have take a look at the log, and I see the necessary stopped events being started.

So my guess is that, the kio processes which do the actual http stuff, get killed to soon at exit. And some http requests have not been made yet.

This is assuming that when KT is exited, the whole computer is shutdown

Most of the time it ktorrent was crashing. and the rest of the time its a mix of rebooting and just exiting ktorrent.
