I second that one.

I'd also ask for a new feature - mainly: open torrent for seeding, wich bypasses all the hash checks and asumes that the chunks are 100% ok.

A small UI request: Remove Torrent shows a prompt for incomplete torrents. The Yes and No options should instead be something like Remove Data and Keep Data.

Why not, I will add it to my todo list.

Nooooo, don't touch that dialog box. Now it's perfectly understandable - don't change that. Just add a "cancel" button.

Note: preallocation seems to work only with files set in the selection dialog when loading torrent, not with files checked on later.

Those were never preallocated.

Could it be added, then?

Tools provided by xfs allow me to see how bad files downloaded via bittorrent can get fragmented.

We will have to see about that. If it doesn't require to many changes with the current code.

Thanks for great work.
In new version I think the most useful things are:

1. Up/down speed limit for each torrent separately (maybe already discussed), also available in WebUI.
2. Opportunity to seed read-only files (maybe discussed too).
3. Speed graph to see how stable upload/download goes.
4. "Properties" command to context menu of torrent with static info from fields of torrent-file (comment, contents etc).
5. Superseed mode. Please, do it anyway.

Thanks.

Hi. My first request about future release of Ktorrent is about infowidgetplugin.
When you choose "File" tab you can see details of each file download. You have some info columns there and you can sort files by pressing column name. But Ktorrent does not remember sorting, so you have to sort files everytime you want detailed information! Ktorrent does not remember column width neither. This is very annoying.

Done (can't believe we forgot that)

Planned

Already in

3. Speed graph to see how stable upload/download goes.

Maybe an interesting idea for a new plugin

4. "Properties" command to context menu of torrent with static info from fields of torrent-file (comment, contents etc).

Is there really a need for this ? Other then the comments all information about a torrent is already shown.

5. Superseed mode. Please, do it anyway.

This will require to many architectural changes, we are not going to do that in the 2.2 release. (would be annoying with the KDE4 port also in development)

How about ability to automatically block peers based on the version string they send?

I have found turning on encryption and not allowing unencrypted connections as a good way to block BitComet.

Well, I don't want to block everyone who doesn't have client supporting encryption. Just the leeching bitcomet users. And bittyrrant and whatnot.
