Upload speed limit not working 2.1.1

Fri Mar 09, 2007 12:43 pm
Upload speed limit is not working - sometimes.

KTorrent 2.1.1

It was working for long time, but now it's broken. I don't know why. Nothing was upgraded. Speed limit is set to 11 kB/s (so it can work 24/7 with my 1GB/day limit), but torrents and status bar show greater speed - for example 40 kB/s. Maybe I'm wrong and it's ok, don't know how UL speed limit works - is it max actual speed or maximal average speed?

KTorrent restart changes nothing.

It uploaded 72 MB after 15 minutes, so it's not too much even for average uppload.

It's 64bit version of system and KTorrent.

Thanks for great work, it's very good application.

I see you have lots of upload slots, what happens if you set that to 3 ?

I've second KTorrent running on the other computer (X forwarded, second icon in systray) with the same settings (afaik, I'll check it tomorrow) and UL speed limit is woking fine. Both computers have KTorrent 2.1.1 and Fedora 6 up-to-date. Second computer (the working one) is 32bit.

I'm running 64 bit (amd64), no problem with upload limit.

This is a very strange bug.

The second computer have upload slots = 12. Setting max upload slots to 3 didn't change anything. Today, the upload speed limit was working for a few hours, but now it's broken again. I have no idea what brokes it.

KDE is 3.5.6
Qt is 3.7.7

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. I had a 2GB drift during one night (5 hours).
Now I've upgraded to 2.1 and I'm going to check it with knemo or some similar.
