Hi!

If I save a torrent file on my desktop
( for example: http://linuxtracker.org/download.php?id ... so.torrent )
and click on it, even after a reinstall of ktorrent package and a full system update/upgrade, ktorrent will open this file but will not start the transfer if ktorrent is minimized to system tray! lol!

Maybe a ktorrent bug!
I use PclinuxOS TR3 & ktorrent 2.1

Just tried it here when KT was minimized to system tray, and it works.

Do you see the torrent in the main view ? If so, what is it's status ?

Well.. first of all, I have to kill ktorrent and start it again. Because it won't show it's gui when I click the icon from system tray (after trying to open a file with a direct click on it).
After restarting ktorrent the torent file is loaded but the status is "Not started".

I think the GUI changes after 2.1, probably fixed this problem.

Upgrading to v.2.1.2 does not solve my problem

Sorry my fault!
I had some special application settings for ktorrent:
Geometry: minimized - apply initially
Preferences: skip taskbar - apply initially

Unchecking those settings solved my problem.
I had this settings because I managed ktorrent to start automatically at boot. Ktorrent doesn't have a" start minimized" feature... so I did this.

Thank you!
