Hi!
I'm running the newest version of ktorrent (2.1.2) and found a very annoying bug. After starting ktorrent when beryl is running I have the systray icon next to the clock. After clicking on the icon to restore ktorrent my x-server immediately crashes. When running ktorrent without beryl everything works pretty good. I also know that this didn't happen in the previous version of ktorrent because usually I was running ktorrent and beryl the same time and everything was OK. Can somebody confirm that behavior? Or is it again just me having these problems? Thanks! EDIT: And I found another Bug. When deleting a torrent and its data ktorrent crashes if this torrent is on top of the download list. |

OK, I was able to get more details about where and when ktorrent crashes, having beryl running the same time.
Up to now it seems that it only crashed when starting ktorrent while beryl is running AND there's one file with the status "not running" within ktorrent. If this is the case xserver will crash as soon as I will restore the main window from the systray icon. I know this seems to be a weird combination, but at least for me this combination always ends up in having my xserver collapse. Is anything known about that? Thanks! |

But it doesn't happen all the time. Right now I have Beryl and ktorrent running. It only seems to crash if first of all beryl is started before ktorrent and second of all, ktorrent has one file with status "not running". If there's only one of these situations happening there won't be any crash. I can also start beryl before ktorrent (at least it worked yesterday) while there's no file in ktorrent having the status "not running". But after that ktorrent shuts itself down as soon as one file changes its status to not running. This happened to me the last 4 times. And after that happened and I will restart ktorrent again with beryl still running, xserver crashed as described.
So are you sure it's a beryl only problem? I mean ktorrent seems to be the only app (from what I tested so far) that causes xserver and/or beryl to crash. And as I mentioned above these crashed won't happen all the time... |
