mmap problem

Wed Mar 21, 2007 4:44 am
Hi, I'm using kubuntu and ktorrent, and my incoming and temp folders are in a ntfs partition. I'm using the ntfs-3g drivers and any download I have gets stuck at 30mb more or less. It reaches 35mb and then it goes back to 25mb.
I get the following error all the time:
mmap failed : No such device
Warning : mmap failed, falling back to buffered mode

And sometimes and error like this:
Hash verification error on chunk 1652
Is : 2cf4f285743ca5a9c338cc6667ddec0a99e437bd
Should be : 2e6411c880d60b77ea47188649251b8c57ff1765

What's happening? How can I fix this? Thanks in advanced,
Rasca

Temp folders, are you crazy, I don't think NTFS supports symlinks.

That's not really a problem, if we cannot memory map, we try something else which should work equally well.

That are just peers sending bad data.

The first thing I would do is move the temp files to a normal linux filesystem. Try that and see how it goes.
