Time remaining estimate is inaccurate

I have a torrent that's 350 MB in size, 50% complete, downloading at 14 KB/sec. KTorrent shows a time remaining of 2:49 hours. A simple calculation shows it should be over 3:30 hours.

Maybe the time column doesn't update every time the speed column does, but it'd be nice if they matched. I'd gladly take a speed estimate that's less up-to-date but has a more accurate average. IMHO, the most accurate speed and time-remaining estimate I've ever seen is in Debian's apt. Maybe its code could be used for inspiration? :)

Keep up the great work.

In SVN version you can choose the algorithm of calculating ETA.

Cool, thanks, I'll have to try it. But for something as simple as ETA, doesn't it make more sense to just use the best method? Seems strange to have multiple choices for something like that. :)

Personally, only using estimator based on current speed makes sense to me. But well, I can't complain, if there's choice.
