kt213 build problem on Debian Sid

Sun Apr 08, 2007 2:51 am
downloaded the 213 tarball. Building on Debian Sid, up to date, yields the following:
. . .
In file included from ../../libktorrent/mse/encryptedauthenticate.h:25,
from peermanager.cpp:36:
../../libktorrent/mse/bigint.h:26:17: error: gmp.h: No such file or directory
../../libktorrent/mse/bigint.h:93: error: 'mpz_t' does not name a type

make[1]: se sale del directorio `/usr/src/ktorrent/ktorrent-2.1.3'
make: *** [all] Error 2
richard@siduxbox:[/usr/src/ktorrent/ktorrent-2.1.3]#

Building because only v2.0.3 is available from Debian repository at the moment, probably until Etch is released tomorrow.

Any ideas or hints appreciated.

Richard.

You need to install libgmp's development packages, under ubuntu this is called libgmp3-dev, it's probably the same under debian.

Thanks.

Yes, I found a deb and there were some dependencies that apt didn't find, but installing some of them let, apt-get -f install, find some others and install it.

However, configure can't find a mozilla installation:
"configure: error: no mozilla installation found"
Even though it originally had the latest Iceweasel.
So I removed that and installed the Firefox original, but it still cant find it.

Must be looking for some specific directory?

regards.

You really should not have to be using the -f command to install libgmp3-dev it is available in the archives and should install without problems. Where did you get the file you installed? Also installing the firefox would make no difference anyways when doing a configure it is looking for development files you want a package with a -dev on it to install like mozilla-dev for example but I fail to see where you should even need mozilla I just did a configure again on the 2.1.3 version tree I built and installed and I see no check for anything related to mozilla in it. BTW if you are running a 64bit install I can always put the .deb I built with checkinstall on my webspace for you to download/install.

Thanks, but I'm still running 32 bit.

# apt-get -f install

was only used because apt returned errors and was unable to complete installing. It is not a normal practice for installing. All libs came from the sid repository.

The only references I found were for mozilla, etal.
I'll look for the -dev headers to see it that helps.
I'll try checking out from the tree to see if that helps.

I have kt-2.0.3 from the repository running, so I'm still
on the torrent. Thanks for your comments.
