random crashes

Tue Apr 17, 2007 5:31 pm
Hi,

I'm using KDE 3.5.5 with Ktorrent 2.0.3 under Debian Unstable.
Ktorrent started to crash 2 days before. I don't changed anything in my system for weeks.

Here is the backtrace:
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".

Can you upgrade to 2.1.3, and see if you get the same problems there ? There is a good chance it might already be fixed.

I just fixed this, though I'm not quite sure, I haven't seen this crash yet. But I just eliminated the most probable cause.

Strange that this problem is suddenly occurring, it probably is just a buggy client sending bad DHT packets, and we didn't handle this properly.

does it look like my crash is being caused by the same thing?

I'm using Mandriva 07 and 2.1.3 btw...

Interresting thread, my ktorrent started to crash today. I figured out that it happens as soon as I enable dht:
Code: Select all
Qt: Warning: QGArray::at: Absolute index 0 out of range

Seems to be some kind of DHT problem.

Upgrade to 2.1.4, this problem should be fixed in that release.

Thanks, i disabled dht temporarily, till the 2.1.4 kubuntu package is out.
This helped avoiding this bug. however, i ran into another bug when the shedulerplugin stopped the file transfers.

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.
