2.1.4 released

Mon Apr 23, 2007 6:45 pm
This is a bugfix release, and contains some minor bug fixes, most notably the .. problem in filenames.

People experiencing the DHT crash, should also upgrade.

I tried to install the feisty package provided by Jdong to install on my amd64 installation using dpkg --force-architecture, but that didn't work. I herefor used this package, to build my own 64 bit version which does work.

It can be found here: http://www.dolfschimmel.nl/dump/ktorren ... _amd64.deb
EDIT: I made a huge error, by which my package will not work. I am now recompiling, and will notify you when I'm done.
EDIT2: The package can be found working (:D) here

Because I barely build any (debian) packages, could someone review the control file? And see if everything is alright?

I highly recommend using 'pbuilder' to build the .dsc source file I posted. The source package I provided is the one that will be uploaded to Gutsy momentarily. No need to duplicate packaging work :)

Yes, your second try at it was correct. Good job :). BTW, in the future, the "dget <url-to-.dsc>" command fetches all 3 components of the source, so you don't have to manually wget each. dget -x <url> will even extract the sources the way apt-get source does.

My 2.1.4 packages for Gutsy (the Ubuntu development branch) have been approved; official Backports debs for Dapper, Edgy, and Feisty on all supported Ubuntu architectures will soon follow.

2.1.4 for sid has been available in Debian repositories for a week. 2.2~beta1 was uploaded to Debian experimental a week ago too, but it has been stuck in NEW queue due to new binary package (-dbg) since then (i.e. not available for debian users yet). Stay tuned. I'll update 2.2~betaX/rcX packages in experimental once every new release is out.
