Crash After Readding Torrent

Fri Apr 27, 2007 1:33 am
Hey guys, first off I'd like to say thanks for a cool, lightweight torrent program! I looked for a program with a webui for a long time, and found KT and fell in love. Anyways, enough mushy stuff!

I added two torrents (that were already added and running) via the webgui. When I logged in via VNC to my server, there were two KTorrent errors on the screen. Both were the same message, the "Torrent Already Exists..." message, but pertaining to each torrent. I clicked OK on the first message dialog, and KTorrent crashed.

I'd be happy to attach a chunk of a log, but out of 40MB I can't find where the program crashed and where I started it again...

Oh wow, sorry about that George, I thought I included the version.

I compiled 2.1.4 from source on Ubuntu 7.04, running with Xfce.

A quick test shows that one doesn't crash KT, but obviously I haven't tested it yet with the webgui and 2 torrents.

EDIT: tried to reproduce with the SVN version, no crash, lets see how 2.1.4 does.

EDIT2 : Also no crash, were these torrents ?

I have a few torrents going, I just tried it with just one torrent (a different one), and it is reproducible on my end. I reproduced it by:

-I add a torrent file (that I know is already added) via the webgui (coldmilk).
-Everything via the WebGUI looks fine. (Nothing has really changed)
-I VNC to my box, and a KTorrent message box is there (KT is minimized) saying that the torrent is already added.
-I click the OK button, and KTorrent crashes.

Is it possible for me to send you a snippet of the log to help you find the source of the problem?

-Tom

I don't think there will be much of use in the log file.
