Deletion of Tab Group Causes Crash

Wed May 23, 2007 10:44 am
I suppose that this shouldn't come as much of a surprise since it's a prime place for a crash to happen, but if you delete a tab group that currently has a tab and then you select that tab, KTorrent crashes. KTorrent doesn't appear to do anything with the tab of the deleted group until you click on it, but as I said, clicking on it results in crash.

Tabs for deleted groups should probably either be automatically changed to something like "All Torrents" or even better, deleted when the group is. Overall, the tabs work quite well and are very nice, but I suspect that if you try and do anything abusive to them (like delete a group when there's a still a tab for that group open) then they have a tendency to do nasty things.

Indeed, you are right, we didn't think of that.

OK, it is fixed now, the tab will be closed unless it is the last tab, then we will show the all group in the tab.

That was nice and quick to fix then. That's good. I'd hate to whittle your life away with too many nasty bug reports. Now, KTorrent is one step closer to being bug free! Of course, for it to be bug free, generally speaking, a program pretty much has to not exist....

I just experienced a crash when I was looking at a group in one tab, and then deleted that group while still displaying it in the active tab.
