i decide to test the ktorrent 2.2r1 on kde 3.5.7 on my gentoo linux box.
it works very well but i have a little problem, in 2.1.4 you have an import function ( file -> import) in ktorrent 2.2r1, we can do the same with (file -> open). In case of torrent file with only one file on it : you indicate the location of the torrent file, and in the dialogbox "select which files you want to download" you indicate the location where the downloaded file is !... the scanning box opens, and ktorrent detect than you have already the entire file and put it on shared mode. In case of torrent file containning directories and multi-files : in my case i move all the downloaded files from the torrent directory to an another directory, if i do the same operation (file -> open) like torrent with one file on it, this doesn't work !... it creates another directory (in my location) with the name of the directory contained in the torrent file and renew the download example : torrent containt directory toto/file1.avi toto/file2.avi i rename toto in /tata i indicate /tata -> and ktorrent create /tata/toto and reload all the files !... in the ktorrent 2.1.4 with the import function it works perfectly, i don't know what it does, but it associates the torrent and the new directory. i hope you can make something for me !... and thank for your great jobs !... bye !.... |

First of all the import plugin is still there.
Second, the path you select in the open dialog is the location where the file (single file torrent) or toplevel directory (multi file torrent) is created. The open dialog is not an import dialog, if you rename the file or the toplevel directory, it will not find the files. |
