Hi. I quickly scanned the archives and didn't see this idea, but apologies if I'm repeating a suggestion...

My idea is to have KTorrent automatically try to restart a stalled torrent if it's stalled for more than, say, 5-10 minutes. I've had many times where a torrent says it's stalled (because of no seeds), but it turns out that it really does have seeds, and those seeds show up if I just click Stop and then the Start arrow again. Not sure why KTorrent doesn't "find" those seeds in the first place, but it doesn't unless I go through this manual process.

So I'd like to have KTorrent monitor the torrents I'm downloading and automatically try to resume those that are stalled for a given length of time that I determine.

Thanks for considering this idea.

Cheers,
Matt from Boston

We already have a feature to do a manual announce when a torrent is stalled for more then 2 minutes, this should solve your problem.

What version are you using ?

Thanks. I wasn't aware of this feature. I'm using version 2.1 on Kubuntu. How do I do it?

And is there a way to do the automatic restart too? That would take it to the next step.
