Command line suggestions

Mon Jun 18, 2007 6:43 pm
I have looked into the command line options but I don't think they are sufficient. Ideally, I would like to start downloading a torrent at home while away; basically I would ssh into the box and issue a command like:

ktorrent -d /home/user/downloads --file=all http://www.testing.torrents.com/4356/gd5g/3333.torrent

I think there needs to be a -d or --directory to tell kTorrent the directory to save the download (if its not been set as 'Download all torrents to:" in the Preference);

also many torrents are made up of smaller files so a --file= would be nice (--files=all, or CSV like --file=1,2,3,4,8 if one knows in advance what they are; default should probably be all)

and, as is currently an option, provide the URL of the torrent.

Does anyone like these ideas, or have additional suggestions?
