That would be cool if you could add DHT trackers instead of just http(s) trackers and peers. Also, that would be neat if KTorrent allowed magnet links.

AFAIK, there is no such thing as a DHT tracker (DHT is just that, a trackerless network) so your request just doesn't make sense. Maybe you mean adding peers manually or something like that.

There's no such thing as a DHT "tracker" -- KTorrent, when creating DHT torrent files, already supports adding any DHT nodes you specify into the seeded table...


Magnet Links are a feature of Azureus's DHT implementation which is not compatible with Mainline DHT, what KTorrent implements.

Some websites let you download torrents by giving you this dht://long_random_string_here and the magnet. Since I can't use magnets with ktorrent, can I plug this dht://... somewhere in the program to get the torrent files to download?

Maybe through Azureus? As I've said before, Azureus DHT is the only DHT implementation with magnet links.
