I know you guys have heard about this issue but could you please outline why it was added in the first place to the banned clients list that everyone seems to have mindlessly copied? Also, what has been done to fix the issue?

I plan to link several admins to this thread so if you could please be very specific about the issue I'd appreciate it. :)

It was banned for repoting bad stats. The issue was resolved in 2.0 or 2.1 I believe. Tell the admins at that site to do a bit of research and direct them to those Ktorrent changelogs. Also use the search function on these forums and you will find multiple threads reguarding the old and resolved issue.

That's one. I'm staff on quite a few sites based on TBDev, Torrentstrike and XBTT and we have never had an issue with it reporting incorrect stats since 2.0. In fact ktorrent is a preferred client and many of our members (thousands of them) use ktorrent.

I also think some of the SVN builds intermittently had this bug too, which could be what some private trackers were seeing.
