same problem here.
Fedora 7, ktorrent 2.2.1
i have the "fully preallocate disk space" enabled and set to "file system specific" and all of my filesystem are ext3
i randomly tested with a torrent with a size of 4.4gb (it contained several files and folders) and it worked ok
maybe only happens with torrents that contains one big file
this is the output of the logviewer plugin (only login general and disk I/O)

I think I know what the problem is, we need to use fopen64 instead of fopen on 32 bit CPU's

This means that 2.2.2 will have to wait for a day.

OK, it should be fixed, could anybody experiencing this problem try out the latest from SVN ?
