Error: File too large

Sat Aug 25, 2007 2:09 am
An integrity check of a 4.32g .iso failed displaying the message "Error:Fichero demasiado grande" (Error: File too large)
And when the check fails it starts downloading from zero

Could it be that that file is on FAT partition?

FAT32 has 4GB file limit.

Have you tried completing the file with another software? (azureus, maybe deluge) just to test if the problem is the file, your PC, or a bug in ktorrent?

Regards.

1-Download this torrent http://www.mininova.org/tor/653749

2-Open in ktorrent

3-Stop torrent

4-Re-check

Testing it right now, we'll see how it goes.

EDIT: everything is OK, I made sure I had several chunks past the 4GB mark, and the data check was OK. No error messages whatsoever.

What kind of setup do you have ? 64 bit, 32 bit, 32 bit operating system running on 64 bit hardware ?

I have tested it too, seems nothing wrong for this torrent for me. Dunno what the cause would be.

please, it uses http://www.mininova.org/tor/653749

it is not necessary to download 100%. add, stop and to check

if it does not give error. The problem is mine.

I have verified others torrent of this size (not .iso).
And verified ok

Hi everybody ... I'm also from Argentina. Wendy told me she was having this problem, so I checked that torrent with ktorrent v2.0.1 and there was no error. After that, using apt I downloaded the latest version

Code: Select all
apt-get install ktorrent

And now I'm having the same problem. Only with that torrent, the rest seems to work just fine.

Debian Testing, KDE 3.5.7, Ktorrent 2.2.1 ...

I'm in the middle of an

Code: Select all
apt-get upgrade

right now .... maybe something not up to date (?) .... I'll tell you in an hour.
