Every certain time, KTorrent shows me the following warning message:


In which it warns to me that the log file that it wants to record has the same name that one existing one, and asks to me if I want to sobrewrite it or to change it the name. It would not have automatically to do this without having to ask every certain time to me?

Do you have gzip installed ? Just open konsole and type in gzip, if it says command not found, you haven't got it installed.

I have gzip installed correctly.
The warning says that it tries to save the log with a name that already exists. And this has already done it several times in different days.

We save the last 10 log files, and every time at startup the logs get rotated, so what happens is this :

log-10.gz gets removed
log-9.gz -> log-10.gz
log-8.gz -> log-9.gz
...
log-1.gz -> log-2.gz
log -> log-1
log-1 gets gzipped

So the fact that it is complaining that log-1 still exists, leads me to believe that the gzipping failed.

Do you see any gzip files in ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent ?

In folder "~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent" I have the files: log-1.gz, log-2.gz,…., log-10.gz.
It does not seem that the rotation is working, because when it tries to save gzip, it always asks to me.

I have erased all *.gz of that directory, to verify if the process (initiated from zero) works well.

Strange, i have not seen this happening and i use KTorrent *a lot*.
