Hi, I'm not 100% sure this is Ktorrent but from my "experience" it is, neither do I have any log proof but:

Ktorrent seems to be blocking xine sometimes, I have no idea why, but the pattern has been pretty clear, Always when I run Ktorrent there is no audio in vlc media player, and sometimes amarok is blocked, It could also be caused in combination with firefox and ktorrent, but never firefox alone, I never have any problems with xine before I turn on ktorrent and run it for a while/doing some net browsing. But once its running, strange things happen.....

Dunno if anyone else experienced similar problems but you could look into it.

KT doesn't mess with any audio stuff, so I fail to see how this could happen.

I've ran into this issue before but never with ktorrent. Most of the time it was a flash in firefox that failed to release the audio. Usually I do ps -ef and kill the esd process. Sound works fine after that.

Good Luck
