WebGUI Plugin Skins

Tue Oct 30, 2007 12:13 am
Hey,

I have a quick question, is it possible for users (me) to create custom webui skins? If so where can I find the files/get started?

-Ktorrent 2.2.2

Thanks

From having just worked with the webgui a bit here's what I can tell. It's not really possible to create skins like it might be for other apps if that's what you mean. The webgui interface is basically just a webpage that parses and displays a php array. This means that if you can write a webpage and have a pretty basic grasp of php then it's very easy to create a new interface for it to use.

From my own experience it wasn't too hard to modify the default interface, and I have no real experience with html or php. I'd give those files a look first, in my system they're installed at /usr/share/apps/ktorrent/www/default. Let me know if you need any other help, I'm happy to lend a hand if I can

Also if you put a new folder in the www directory it will be seen by ktorrent and you can select it in the config options.

Just to let folks know - the path for KTorrent 3/KDE 4 (at least in Kubuntu 7.10) is /usr/lib/kde4/share/kde4/apps/ktorrent/www
