File's status: 10 vs. 20?

Tue Nov 06, 2007 3:37 pm
Hi,

Could someone tell me what is the difference betweenstatus 10 and 20? I mean "Do Not download" and "Only seed"?

Do Not Download = throw away the data of a file

Only Seed = keep existing data of the file and seed it, but don't download anything new

Thanks. We had little mistake in php_interface.cpp ─ action "file_dnd" called
Code: Select all
file.setPriority(ONLY_SEED_PRIORITY);
I just renamed this to "file_stop". Some other time I'll try to add real "file_dnd" action.

Fix submitted to Joris.

Actually I did that on purpose since setting a file to "Do Not Download" in the main interface actually sets it to only_seed priority. I thought it was better to leave out the ability to actually delete files.

Hmm, that shows reason of your decision. I wonder if it is a good idea to change "Do Not Download" in main UI to "Stop download"? I find such a name much better.

Agree :) If even implementing deleting, we definitively use some "Are you really, really sure?" alert.
