i had been using ktorrent since 2005 and recently had to change to using utorrent with wine [after an unsuccessful attempt to try and use azureus again] because ktorrent doesnt seem to keep the .torrent files. although i saw some evidence of a torrent file in .kde/share... the format that it is being saved in is really inconvenient for the user to deal with since everything has been renamed to some arbitrary number.
while it may seem inconsequential, and i had temporarily overcome the problem by manually saving the .torrent files then loading them into ktorrent. having the intact .torrent file and a way to move your torrent around on your system is a pretty important feature for people who have to migrate between computers, shuffle files around for space reasons, or when tracker sites die and you want to migrate your collection to a new site... ktorrent in my opinion is the best bittorrent client on linux, and has been for quite some time now. i would really appreciate being able to use it again, but doubt i can until i get a stable desktop environment going where i have the space available for my files since migrating in ktorrent really isn't practical right now. thank you. |

Version? Upgrade. Later versions have a "copy torrent files to dir ..."-feature. |
