sort by mime type

Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:07 am
please don't flame me if this has already been suggested. I searched for this suggestion but none came up, but then again maybe not everyone would call it mime type.

I just had an Idea that would save some time in organizing files that you download. while downloading of course we all know files are in a temporary directory, but when they are finished they are moved or stay in the same directory (according to user settings) what if you could use mime type sorting, kind of in the way web browsers do with files, but instead when completed they are moved to user specified directories... such as music oriented torrents.. are moved to a user specified folder such as "music" or book torrents to "books" and so on and so forth.

Ok, but what would be the use of this for the user?

just as I said, to organize file types, prevent file clutter.
